AVOCADO HUMMUS

This is a special dip for all the avocado and hummus lovers out there! The combination of avocado and hummus results in an extremely rich, creamy and smooth dip that makes for the perfect snack. Your friends will love it, your children will love it, and most importantly, you will love it!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can of chickpeas, in water

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • 4 tablespoons tahini paste

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 1/4 cup lime juice, or lemon juice

  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/2 cup cilantro, plus more for garnish

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

PREPARATION

1. Drain the can of chickpeas, and cut the avocados in half, remove the seed and spoon out the flesh with a spoon.

2. In a bowl of a stand mixer, add the drained chickpeas, tahini paste, lime or lemon juice, garlic cloves, cumin, and olive oil and pulse until it becomes really smooth.

3. Then add the avocado and 1/2 cup cilantro, and season with salt and pepper to taste, and pulse again until it turns into a creamy mixture.

4. Serve drizzled with olive oil and topped with cilantro leaves, with a side of Arabic bread. You can also use toasted Arabic bread for an extra layer of crunch.
